Meet the team

Kim, our setting leader, is level 3 qualified and has extensive experience in early years. Kim started working with us primarily as our individual needs assistant and supported those children with identified additional needs. However, having shown great potential, Kim accepted the role of setting leader in September 2022.

Bev joined Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school in September 2018. Bev had been the manager at Battle pre-school for a number of years and had successfully taken the pre-school through three Ofsted ‘outstanding’ inspections. Bev is our ‘room leader’ in the baby room.

Ellen joined Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school in October 2020 starting a level 2 childcare qualification. Ellen has a natural flair for working with children and has shown she has great leadership potential. Even before Ellen passed her level 2 qualification, she was appointed toddler room leader to cover maternity leave.

Alex joined the Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school team in September 2022, having spent many years working at Westfield pre-school. Alex was quickly ‘promoted’ to room leader of the pre-school room. Outside of work, Alex is a busy mum of three.

Katie is level 3 qualified and also holds a degree in education. Katie works as toddler room lead, but is currently on maternity leave. Apart from her excellent early years’ skills, Katie is a natural leader.

Cat (Catherine) is our longest serving member of the team, having been at Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school soon after it opened. Cat is a level 3 practitioner who has lots of experience working in a childcare setting.

Dagmara is Polish and has lived in the UK for over a decade. Dagmara is level 3 qualified, but also has a degree in horticulture. Dagmara’s use of the Polish language has proven to be an excellent tool for communication with families from a Polish background. Dagmara has been at Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school for many years.

Amy joined the team in early 2017 and works during the lunchtime period as the kitchen assistant and cleaner. Without Amy’s work so much wouldn’t get done. Amy also helps out with childcare within the pre-school as and when she is needed.

Vidia works with us as an individual needs assistant. Vidia is originally from Romania where she had extensive experience as a school teacher. Vidia’s kind and caring temperament makes her ideal to support children with additional needs.

Julie joined the Little Skaters Nursery & Pre-school team in September 2023, having previously been manager at Westfield pre-school. Julie has immense experience in early years.

Jade first started at Skaters Nursery & Pre-school as a work-experience student whilst studying her level 3 at college. Jade was so good that we kept her on after she completed her course!

Joe is a level 3 qualified practitioner who joined the team in early 2023. Joe originates from Cheshire and worked in a busy London setting before he moved with his wife and young son to Hastings.
